TEAM USA FAQ’s
1. How are
players invited to attend the Team USA select Tryouts?
Invitation and/or Trying Out
2. If I am not
able to attend the tryout in my region can I attend one in another
region?
YES
3. How many players will be selected for each team and in what age
divisions?
8-10 skaters & 2 goalies.
Age Divisions:
10u-12u-14u-16u-18u
4. If
I am selected for a team where will the competition take place? What
are the dates?
Each year the teams compete in the AAU Junior Olympics
International Division. Block schedule is posted on
www.aauhockey.org
5. Who will be coaching the regional teams?
Coaches are appointed by the USARS Prospects Director
6.
How many games can we expect to play? Will there be any practices?
5-8 games. All team practices the first morning of the event.
7. If
a player makes their regional team what uniforms will they wear?
The uniforms are custom made by ACE JERSEY.
8. What sponsors are supporting Team USA?
Reebok, Ace Jersey, Tour, Rink Rat and AAU.

How will the teams be selected at tryouts?
By the selection committee.
11.
Can our regional Select team play as a team in other tournaments?
No. The Team USA program has been designed not to take
athletes away from their club teams.

does it cost to register for the select team tryout?
($95.00)

When will I know if I am selected?
After the tryouts
15. If I am
selected, what is the cost?
($225)
Includes entry fee, Uniform (custom home & away jersey), Pants, Team
USA Apparel & mouth guard.
16. If I am
not able to participate will my money be refunded?
Refunds
granted up until the deadline for entering. If someone is injured
and has a doctor's verification letter before the event is held, a refund is granted.
